Trailer to the "Come to Your Census" podcast series that explores the multiple dimensions of increasing the Census count in historically undercounted Black and Brown communities. Hosted by Dr. Kirk E. Harris, former CEO of Fathers, Families and Healthy Communities (FFHC), and Hubert Morgan, Principal of Stanhope Consulting. Guests include governmental, civic, community, and social service leadership.

Episode 1 focuses on the barriers to achieving a full Census count in undercounted Black and Brown communities. We explore the historic and sociopolitical context that must be navigated to accomplish a full count in vulnerable communities of color.

Episode 2 focuses on governmental, corporate, and institutional accountability as it relates to improving community outcomes. Many of the interviewees are leaders who operate within those sectors. We also explore the opportunity for community residents to contribute to the economic health and well-being of their communities through the completion of the 2020 Census.

Dr. Kirk Harris hosted the podcasts for Fathers, Families and Healthy Communities (FFHC) as former CEO. In Episode 1, Dr. Harris interviews board members Dr. Michael Bennett and Sequane Lawrence. They discuss the history, mission, and work of FFHC, as well as the importance of father engagement.

In Episode 2, Roland Clay discusses barriers to fatherhood and what was helpful to him in terms of being supported. Co-hosted by Reginald Hicks, a father advocate.

In Episode 3, the Director of Power of Fathers outlines his work to support fathers connecting in healthy ways to their children and families through this unique organizational collaboration.

In Episode 4, Dr. Harris engages Dr. Tiffany McDowell and Heather Parish, who talk about family engagement and family strengthening. Topics include Black Family values and resilience, racism, and trauma.

In Episode 5, Dr. Harris interviews Dr. Waldo Johnson from the University of Chicago. Dr. Johnson discusses his research on Black Families.

In Episode 6, Iris Krieg, former Executive Director of the Pritzker Early Childhood Foundation, discusses her work in the area of early childhood and family strengthening. Ms. Krieg discusses her commitment to and support for healthy father involvement, and the role that fathers can play in supporting the emotional, physical, and intellectual development of their children.
